The Better Business Bureau’s vision is a marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other. They want to be a leader in advancing marketplace trust. The BBB of Metro Atlanta, Athens and NE Georgia is a standards-based organization and is one of five BBB’s in the state of Georgia and 113 BBB’s in North America. They are one of the largest BBB’s and provide pre-purchase information to the public, rating companies from A to F. They handle over 50,000 complaints each year (over 80% are resolved) and receive over three-million inquiries on their web site. The BBB reviews charities against their standards, they offer mediation/arbitration services where they believe it is necessary to resolve an issue between a consumer and a company, they do ad reviews and investigations on practices that need attention, and they invest a great deal of time and resources to consumer education.
