They handle over 50,000 complaints each year (over 80% are resolved) and receive over three-million inquiries on their web site. The BBB reviews charities against their standards, they offer mediation/arbitration services where they believe it is necessary to resolve an issue between a consumer and a company, they do ad reviews and investigations on practices that need attention, and they invest a great deal of time and resources to consumer education.
